Vulnerability Scanning Services Security support analysts are consultants, providing help to their organization's computer and network users. They are a source of information and are frequently called upon to investigate and resolve problems, being responsible for execution and reporting of Vulnerability Scans globally.
Configure scanning options and schedules
Notification to operational and business teams of scanning schedules
Verify scans are running and completing successfully
Work with stakeholders
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues for the scanners
Resolve operational issues, requiring an understanding of networking and server administration
Make updates and changes to schedules
Distribute reports to Project Managers, Account Security Officers, Hosting Tower Managers, etc.
Publish monthly metric reports
Provide security training and education for lesser-experienced staff
Open support tickets with technology vendors
Perform appropriate change ticketing and documentation
The person managing this role will work with DXC’s Account Teams/DXC Teams and Project Managers to provide Client/DXC VSS Implementations for vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, using MVM, Nessus, Metasploit and customized solutions. Work with Project Managers to Implement VSS client and VSS infrastructure servers. Work closely with the Network Assessment Team, to bring Client VSS Implementations to steady state/production. Work with the NAT team to troubleshoot issues with the MVM nfrastructure/client engines/scanners. Work with software vendors to troubleshoot issues with scanning software. Assist with the support, deployment and setup of the DXC leveraged VSS Infrastructure. Work with the MSS Entry Point team to assist with costing and any other support for VSS/MSS Implementations.
