In this position, the recruiter will utilize general recruitment knowledge to provide full cycle recruiting services for hourly production roles across the U.S. including: conducting intake sessions, posting positions, pre-screening candidates, and forwarding appropriate candidates to hiring managers for further review and interview. The recruiter will execute defined Cargill recruitment processes, manage relationships with Hiring Managers and comply with U.S. employment laws.


  • Provide full cycle recruiting services including: conducting intake sessions, job postings, sourcing, selection processes, offer management, process documentation, compliance management, and status communication with candidates and hiring managers.

  • Recommend sourcing options for skilled positions that are difficult to fill (i.e. skilled operators, maintenance mechanics, and technicians).

  • Utilize recruitment technology systems (i.e. Taleo) to drive process enhancements and Taleo analytic capabilities to achieve efficiencies in recruiting activities.

  • Actively participate in recruitment related projects or initiatives with GHRS, businesses/functions.


  • Develop and maintain relationships related to the recruitment process which may include: hiring managers, human resource professionals, and candidates, etc. Utilize general recruitment subject matter expertise to partner with clients.

  • Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities, and ensure a strong and positive client and candidate experience. Follow up with candidates regarding questions on applications, pre-employment paperwork, and offer status as needed.


  • Ensure Talent Recruitment compliance requirements and local employment laws are met:

  • Includes Policy and legal requirements for U.S.

  • Includes administration of internal systems and/or creation of processes to ensure compliance with country/local labor laws


Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of recruiting experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field

  • Fluency in English

  • Strong business acumen, business partnering skills and orientation toward results

  • Ability to gather and analyze data, and implement recommendations with business partners

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of employment equity, employment law, and diversity recruiting strategies

  • Solid organizational skills and detail orientation

  • Strong process management skills that ensure consistent quality of service delivery

  • Excellent client service skills and ability to build rapport with candidates and clients at all levels

  • Strong influencing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Experience with recruiting tools such as Taleo

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cargill knowledge of North American businesses and structure

  • Advanced Degree

  • Knowledge of employment laws
