Primary Job Function

  • Assists Operations Manager in managing and overseeing the operations and personnel of one or more production lines to maximize productivity and operating efficiencies.

  • Manages and oversees the coordination of labor, materials, equipment, and tooling to assemble product effectively and deliver it to inventory.

  • Maintains a high level of product quality and traceability during product assembly.

  • Ensures production is performed in full compliance with the Quality System and all procedural requirements.

  • Promotes safe work environment and behaviors.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Implements and manages to a staffing plan by identifying resource requirements, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with Human Resources.

  • Develops direct reports by securing appropriate training, assigning progressively challenging tasks, rewarding positive behavior, and applying disciplinary action as appropriate.

  • Trains and certifies to all critical assembly operations and understands all line PFM's.

  • Monitors daily work metrics and provides direction and guidance to lower-level supervisors, or skilled nonexempt staff to achieve unit or project goals.

  • Retains responsibility for product from initial assembly to final distribution. Schedules and organizes assigned manufacturing lines to achieve 100% product availability and maintain targeted levels of inventories. •

  • Communicates to line personnel daily while maintaining a constant line presence.

  • · Maintains a safe work environment with 100% training and compliance to applicable procedures. ·

  • Responsible for achieving dept. attendance targets including immediate feedback to employees by instance.

  • Coordinates activities related to shift starts and changes. ·

  • Communicates with other departments and functions as needed in support of meeting operational objectives. ·

  • Helps develop, interpret, and execute policies that affect work processes and personnel within the assigned organizational unit.

  • Oversees personnel and processes to ensure production meets all associated quality standards.

  • Oversees personnel and processes to ensure full compliance with internal and external regulations. ·

  • Aware of and occasionally identifies internal and/or external indicators that impact the business and/or industry. ·

  • Contributes to the development and monitoring of area budget through regular analysis of cost and spending.


  • University Bachelor's degree

  • 2-5 years of related work experience

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
