Amazon.com Aces Process Excellence Manager in San Jose, Costa Rica
Do you want to be instrumental in moving forward some of Amazon’s most strategic, highly impactful process improvement projects? Amazon’s Finance Business Services has an immediate opening for an Aces Process Excellence Manager whose experience illustrates a clear ability to understand customer requirements identify upstream and downstream process gaps, define requirements and help drive them through Lean Six Sigma methodology to bridge identified gaps. As an Aces Process Excellence Manager you will be asked to participate in cross functional workshops and drive them end to end for identifying improvement opportunity within Finance Business Services, the primary function is to delivery high impacting process improvements.
You will work closely with Finance Business Operation Team to identify process improvement opportunities.
Mentor improvement projects JDI, YB’s Kaizen & GB’s.
Data Analysis – using statistical tools – to identify and substantiate the root causes.
Drive projects for improvement to reduce overall defects.
Increase awareness of OE in Finance operations, conduct Quality circles, small sessions & Webinars.
Execute High priority (i.e. cross functional, high impact) Kaizen events and DMAIC projects.
Creation and maintenance of local “ACES Issues Pipeline”
Review, categorization and prioritization of global “ACES Issues Pipeline” entries and improvement project opportunities
Local project pipeline consisting of regular scheduling of new projects - with local resources assigned - by HQ and local management, including NPT (Non Production Time) planning and preliminary impact/benefit calculations
Improvement phase of local projects.
Evaluation of completed projects, make recommendations, and support implementation.
Local management and coach associates on ACES philosophy & methodologies.
Assign project teams on application of proper process improvement and project management methodologies / acts as a local resource
Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt certification
Bachelors degree, advanced degree (technical or MBA) preferred
Excellent data visualization and analysis skills.
Good in excel data analysis.
Ideally participated in internal or external Lean Six Sigma trainings
Completed JDI, Kaizen, YB or GB projects in Amazon.
Excellent verbal, visual, written and listening skills.
Ability to influence and lead changes without direct authority.
Ability to excel both independently and in a team environment.
Qualified candidates will have strong process/workflow skills and/or project management skills
Ideally solid understanding of Visio and ability to map processes
