TransPerfect Human Resources Generalist in San José, Costa Rica

  • Provide human resources support to rapidly growing contact center.

  • Execute and manage a multi-step, high volume, onboarding process for new hires, including background investigations, new hire tickets, reference checks, and subcontractor agreements

  • Handle full onboarding cycle, including timely notifications to the local Manager and Accountant.

  • Review and implement office policies and lead the project of the Rules of Employment in line with local requirements.

  • Ensure the company is always in compliance with applicable local laws.

  • Partner with global Human Resources team to resolve employee relations issues.

  • Coach managers on documenting and delivering performance improvement plans.

  • Partner with Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Director to conduct investigations regarding employee complaints. Prepare documentation and reports on investigations and proposed actions.

  • Distribute payslips and complete employment verifications.

  • Partner with HRIS team to update and maintain employee records.

  • Handle Termination procedures including preparing paperwork, update systems, inform the payroll provider accordingly, etc.

  • Conduct exit interviews

  • Run reports using HRIS applications (ADP / iCIMS).

  • Distribute employee surveys and recommend action plans.

  • Be responsible for the full payroll cycle, from submitting changes to obtaining approval from the US payroll team once revised, and act as a liaison with Payroll provider.

  • Other HR projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources.

  • Fluency in English and Spanish

  • Very strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill required.

  • Conflict resolution skills and effective problem solving abilities.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience within a large contact center highly desirable.

  • Experience with HRIS applications (ADP preferred).
