IBM Staffing Resource Manager in HEREDIA, Costa Rica

Role Description The Global Business Services - Resource & Capacity Management (GBS R&CM), Staffing Resource Manager primary role is to staff IBM resources on IBM short and long-term consulting projects in North America. The SRM must understand project requirements and be able to deliver in a fast-paced working environment. Should be able to provide solutions to staffing requirements and to aggressively search for opportunities for its own resource pool. The job involves directly sourcing candidates from IBM internally and from subcontract firms externally, working in collaboration with project and other Staffing Managers across geographies in IBM and with our vendors. The role can be divided into supply and demand functions. The supply side staffs available and/or coming available practitioners on projects aligned with their skills and career development while the demand side staff available projects with practitioners. Lastly, the SRM should work hardly to ensure all tasks related to the role are completed timely and effectively, affecting directly the utilization/revenue increase for the business. Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as single staffing / fulfillment point of contact for Project Managers

  • Using in-depth practitioner and skill knowledge, taking career development into account

  • Manage staffing related escalations with accounts and/or Business Service Lines

  • Supports On-boarding of New Hires, forecast activities and utilization driven activities

  • Build strong Business relationships and work as R&CM coach for Business Service Lines

  • Create innovative programs that positively and strategically impact business Objective

  • Challenge status quo to promote innovative approaches that positively impact Business objectives

  • Clearly understand client requirements to effectively satisfy Business needs by providing value added service

  • Experience working on International Companies 5 to 7 years

  • Professional communication at Executive level 5 years of experience. Includes creating effective Business presentations

  • Fluent in spoken English and possess excellent writing skills

  • High level of negotiation skills and stakeholder management

  • Intermediate/Advance excel functional knowledge. Maintaining and organizing data, using Pivot Tables, V Look Ups and Macros(preferred). Demonstrated ability to use critical and strategic thinking to resolve discrepancies, gaps and maintain high data quality standards

  • Ability to build/develop strong business relations - networking

  • Excellent decision-making skills: make immediate decisions without the need to consult; must be self-directed and able to adapt quickly to changing demands

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize in line with rapidly changing requirements of the business
