VMware Sr. Financial Analyst - WFP FP&A in Heredia, Costa Rica

As a Senior Analyst supporting VMware’s Workforce Planning (WFP) program, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering workforce data, analytics and forecasting tools, and executive-level outputs and reporting for this enterprise-wide initiative.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to organize, manipulate, and synthesize a variety of metrics, numbers, and complex data sets from multiple sources (Workday, Hyperion, Archibus, others) to create and evolve analytic tools and reporting that surface workforce insights and trends

  • Self-directed and well organized with effective communication skills and broad execution capabilities; able to balance multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment

  • Close collaboration with multiple stakeholders to develop and scale WFP program deliverables (synthesized data sets; analytic/forecast tools; program reporting outputs)

  • Ensure/maintain data integrity across multiple (changing) data sources and evolving analytic tools and systems

  • Excellent presentation and data visualization skills

  • Partner with FP&A to integrate strategic WFP and operational AOP financial planning workstreams and forecast tools/reports

  • Assist in special projects and conduct ad hoc reports and analysis as needed

  • Creative problem solving, high tolerance for ambiguity, and strong follow through are critical for success

  • Provide on-going evolution of WFP tools/deliverables and support operationalization of the program

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years finance-related experience, including workforce/financial analysis and reporting

  • Bachelor’s degree required; major in Business, Economics or Finance preferred; Technology background a plus

  • Strong analytic and communication skills

  • Strategic/critical thinker; exacting attention to detail

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast paced, changing business environment

  • Highly proficient in MS Excel; Access and Tableau proficiency desirable

  • Previous experience with a business/workforce analytics preferred
