Description

Position Purpose:

Utilizes general HR knowledge and proficient skill to accomplish moderately complex, administrative HR Services / Operations support tasks. Under limited oversight, performs complex procedures to support activities. Activities include or are related to: Payroll & Benefits implementation and execution according to policies and processes.

The HR Customer Service Representative is a resource for all of Cargill's North America employees regarding payroll, benefits, and general HR questions. This is a high-complex environment taking an average of 7,000 inquiries a month from nearly 70,000 employees in the US and Canada.

The Senior HR Customer Service Representative will provide assistance to employees regarding payroll and benefits issues. You will follow-up with customers on questions not answered on first contact. In addition, you'll provide accurate and detailed information on unresolved inquiries

Main Accountabilities:

Implement & Execute Recruitment Programs & Processes

  • Ensure data integrity by tracking and documenting payroll activities in appropriate systems.

  • Managing telephone & e-mail inquiries regarding benefit, payroll, and retirement related issues for North American (NA) employees.

  • Maintain inquiry records through electronic means.

  • Conduct research, special projects and system enhancements as needed

  • Share knowledge and information with team members on a continual basis

Process timely correspondence to candidates

  • Support clients’ payroll or benefit needs through completing and coordinating appropriate paperwork.

  • Candidate file maintenance, retention and destruction in accordance with Cargill policy

Policy, process & procedure management

  • Provide input to drafting/updating employment policy and procedural manuals

  • Administration of internal systems and/or creation of processes to ensure compliance with policy, labor laws and legal requirements for a specific region/country/state

  • Maintain accountability measures and processes to ensure compliance of policies and procedures

  • Perform basic work steps to assist in audits/reviews and ensure compliance

  • Under some supervision, performs routine, administrative HR Services/Operations tasks which support the adoption/implementation, execution and maintenance of HR Services/Operations strategies, policies, programs and processes.

  • Provides routine administrative HR Services/Operations support to HR/business supervisors and individuals regarding the interpretation and delivery of complex HR Services/Operations policies, programs and processes.

  • Utilizing basic HR knowledge and fundamental skill, provides routine administrative support for HR Services/Operations projects.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.

  • 2 years of HR support, administrative assistant or customer relationship management experience, preferably in payroll activities in an HR Shared Services environment.

  • Professional language proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

  • Strong knowledge of time zones in multiple regions.

  • Clear accounting concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous payroll or benefits experience.

  • Knowledge of US specific employment laws.
