VMware Sales Operations Analyst in Heredia, Costa Rica

This role will provide report directly to the Operations Lead for the Amers Quota and Commissions COE – Americas. Activities will include: quota setting, credit factoring and commission query resolution, during our closed-loop bi-annual fiscal process. Responsible for supporting the daily tasks and ensure quality while working closely with the Americas Operations staff and respective field organizations. You are a self-starter who enjoys challenging analytical work in a fast-paced environment. You thrive on being a key player in driving sales and productivity through strategic and creative thinking. You are also able to effectively collect, assess, utilize and explain quota and commissions trends and data, serving as a partner with the segment sales ops teams and senior leadership to drive sales success.

This role will provide support to our core operational activities within the Americas theatre, in relation to fiscal planning preparation, quota setting, credit factoring and commission query resolution, during our entire fiscal process. Responsible for supporting the Sales Organization, and respective field organizations to ensure quality and time-to-market optimization. As part of the role, the expectation is to constant look to identify areas of opportunities within our business, as well as help drive improvements.

Primary Responsibilities of the role:

Supporting Sales Ops. Organization to drive and deliver the AMER planning and quota set up execution.

This position will require a great attitude/team player, an ability to understand E2E commission plan for the sales field and meet tight deadlines, strong communication skills and an ability to connect with business partners and stakeholders from around the world.

Required Skills/Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations or Business Operations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent English speaker and writer, able to effectively communicate, train, create training materials, and correspond in English

  • Strong/Excellent Analytical skills, Information management skill

  • Advanced MS Excel skills

  • Experience using planning & commissions applications

  • Attention to detail and Time management skill

  • Excellent Customer Service skill

  • Project management experience

  • Experience working cross-culturally, internationally, across multiple time-zones

  • Ability to interview and collaborate with VMware internal organizations, Finance, Data Management, Senior Management, etc. to gather input on cases/scenarios to resolve commissions issues

  • Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Sales Force.Com experience

  • Support to bi-annual planning activities

  • Coordination of Compensation Design Playbook and related Credit Factoring system set-up

  • Support allocation/collation of Field Sales Targets and Quotas

  • Support allocation/collation of Field Sales Territory Hierarchy, vertical/geographic assignments and Named Account mappings

  • Support monthly reconciliation/approval of Commissions calculations/payments

  • Support Americas on tools/systems projects with respect to planning and commissions activities

  • Six sigma or process improvement models knowledge
