Position Purpose:

This position is a key member of the RTR Leadership accounting team, which provides accounting services for Cargill Business Units and Functions. This person is responsible for supervising and leading the RTR department, reviewing the accounting cycle, ensuring the proper registration of the assigned transactions applying the accounting principles and compliance with tax laws for the the countries that we deliver services. Ensure the reasonability of the accounting balances and financial statements, Responsible for the definition of objectives, planning and establishing the work programs for each of the associates of his/her organization, accounting compliance according with the local financial and legal regulations. Promote the teamwork, continues improvement and the professional development of his/her associates.

Main Accountabilities:

75% Financial Accounting:

  • Compliance / Control: Ensuring compliance according to the accounting principles, US GAAP and NIFS,work along with his/her team to control the department activities and accounting registrations, working together with his/her team in the development of procedures for internal control, detection and evaluation of critical points.

  • Audits: Ensure the compliance and delivery financial information to the auditors

  • Continuous Improvement: Responsible to improve, standardize and optimize the accounting processes through analysis to promote an efficient organization.

  • Talent Management: To provide a good environment for the associates, development of training plans, design career paths, and ensure employee retention.

  • Accounting Closing: Guarantee the integrity of the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closing by ensuring its activity compliance through the creation of controls.

15% Business Partnering:

  • Effective and timely communication with BU/Function wherever necessary.

  • Provide accounting/finance support for BU/Function, as requested.

  • Participate in BU/Function meetings, as requested.

5% Compliance & Process Efficiency:

  • Meet all agreed KPI and complete services within the SLA.

  • Review financial accounting processes and key internal control point to monitor alignment with the standard

5% Compliance & Process Efficiency:

  • Review accounting processes and escalate deviations with the RTR Lead.

  • Maintain all documentation and provide timely updates.



  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience Supervising and Leading Teams, availability to travel.

  • Previous experience Supervising and leading.

  • A degree in Accounting or Finance or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (B2 – C1).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook).

  • Previous experience working in a Shared Service Center.

  • Knowledge of JDE y SAP.
