The role resides within the Global Batch Transmission Services team, reporting directly to the Global Batch Scheduling/Batch Transmission Services Head. The team supports a range of Business units across the Global ICG (Institutional Clients Group) and GCG (Global Consumer Group) Businesses as well as providing support to other areas within the CTI (Citi Technology Infrastructure) organisation.

The core responsibility will be to act as a member of the team supporting the GBTS infrastructure and products. This role requires good knowledge of the technologies supported by the team and will require the successful candidate to be self-reliant in executing assigned tasks

•Provide 1st line of support to our internal/external clients

•Process simple Connect Direct/SFTP-related requests on Production and UAT environments

•Monitor Connect Direct and Secure FTP internal and external file transfers

•Provide resolution on simple and repetitive Connect Direct/SFTP file transfer issues

•Liaise with Application owners and L2 Connect Direct Support groups on complex file transfer failures or abends

•Provide Transmission logs and statistics to our internal/external clients

•Mitigate potential problems by ensuring that CTI standards are followed and maintained at all times.

•Contribute to all the team’s commitments regarding problem and incident management, controls and adherence to Citi policies on compliance and security.

•Contribute to a service delivery ethic within the team and adherence to the Citi Operations and Technology Operating Principles.

Strong functional knowledge of the following technologies supported by the team:

•Basic Unix (Linux, AIX) and Windows (w2k16,w2k12,w2k8) systems knowledge

•Basic Mainframe knowledge is required

•Basic knowledge about JCL is an advantage

•Knowledge of SFTP/SCP/SSH data keyless transmission

•Understanding Secure Sockets Layer SSL/TLS protocol

•Technical planning and problem determination skills

•PC skills including working knowledge and experience with all Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)

•Good organization skills to enable multiple tasks to be addressed concurrently.

•Familiarity with ServiceNow is an advantage

•Familiarity with IBM Sterling Connect:Direct on any platform (UNIX,WINDOWS,z/OS) is an advantage

•2+ years of professional experience in technology infrastructure operations or technical support.

•Ability to work effectively with virtual and remote teams

•Solid written and spoken communication skills
