Description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for the Accounting and Administration of the treasury operations in respect of Money Markets and Custodial Services. Monitoring the tasks performed by the subordinates and people management.

Main Accountabilities:

75% Financial Accounting:

  • Check/Review accounting for transactions for the following treasury related products

  • IRS, Treasury Bills, BA’s, Debentures, Bills, Swaps Futures, Forward Rate Agreements o And other client designed products

  • Review and clear the following accounts in collaboration with the recon officer: o All relevant office accounts o All relevant clearing accounts

  • Other treasury specific general ledger accounts

  • Balance SAP or JDE with various reports and general ledger accounts

  • Ensure accuracy of Interbank movements and interest accruals.

  • Participate in process improvement/miscellaneous projects within Finance Shared Services.

  • Cross train within Accounting team to create depth and provide support to other team members. May serve as backup for critical tasks for other members.

15% Business Partnering:

  • Prepare reconciliation pack of total treasury accounts for internal control department

  • Review reconciliations treasury product accounts

  • Check/Review monthly income and expense items

  • Ensure completion of the maturity list of funding products

5% Compliance & Process Efficiency:

  • Meet all agreed KPI and complete services within the SLA.

  • Review financial accounting processes and key internal control point to monitor alignment with the standard

5% Compliance & Process Efficiency:

  • Review accounting processes and escalate deviations to the Senior.

  • Maintain all documentation and update timely.

  • Initiate, suggest and demonstrate process improvement

  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 1 or 2 years of Treasury accounting experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or university in progress.

  • Knowledge of JDE y SAP.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook).

Preferred:

Knowledge of Cartesis

Experience in the full accounting cycle
