Ability to perform all functions of Consumer Services Associate II and:

  1. Interprets and analyzes consumers’ written or verbal grievance or dispute. Determines the different types of issues contained in dispute and forwards those requiring handling in different departments to appropriate personnel.

  2. Educates consumer on dispute management and offer options for immediate resolution.

  3. Identifies and investigates dispute issues. Contacts original credit grantor to obtain appropriate dispute information. Inputs information into database system. Communicates with consumers by phone and in person to resolve escalated issues. Schedules and completes personal visits upon consumer request. Handles escalated consumer issues.

  4. Maintains the integrity of the database by ensuring data quality and accuracy.

  5. Coordinates the resolution of one type of complex consumer issue, such as fraud, mixed files, or consumer dispute verification.

  6. Provides work direction, assistance and training to lesser-experienced personnel during supervisor’s absence from the facility.

  7. Coordinates daily departmental activities with staff and other functional areas during manager’s absence

  8. Assists sales staff by submitting contracts to customer prospects, and following up on prospect inquiries and requests until an agreement is signed.


  • Strong knowledge of Experian products and services.

  • Strong knowledge of web-based systems.

  • Strong knowledge of PC desktop applications.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong customer service skills, including telephone etiquette.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Typically requires 2-4 years related experience.*Comply with Internal Applications Policy - 1 year in current position- Clean work record - Achieving MCE metrics
