Job Description:

The Global Distribution team is part of the Global Partner Organization and plays an instrumental role in helping to leverage the VMware partner ecosystem selling solutions in VMware’s key priorities. Through the Distribution route-to-market, we create, implement, track and support global distribution partner initiatives and related projects to better leverage partners in selling VMware solutions. As part of the Distribution organization, you will support the team to analyze the business performance, identifying key business trends, and drive initiatives.

The Global Distribution team is leveraging Tableau Software ( www.tableausoftware.com ) to build out distributor business dashboards. The dashboards aims to highlight distributed performance in relative to the ecosystem. This is a position to support building out business dashboards for different user groups. The objective of business analysis is to identify business opportunities, to increase operational efficiency and to drive reporting standardization through centralized dashboard creation and management.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute scheduled data analysis to support business

  • Prioritize, define, and execute ad-hoc data analysis as needed

  • Refine scope, objectives and user group by dashboard

  • Support Distribution initiatives and strategic projects with reporting and analysis

  • Define business dashboards, requirements and metrics

  • Develop and design Tableau dashboards

  • Visualize data analytic

  • Iterate dashboard changes and deploy to production

  • Build PowerPoint presentation

  • Manage Dashboard roll-out and support

  • Collaborate with and manage expectations of stakeholders across multiple functions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Technology, Finance or equivalent

  • Understand of a Channel RTM and Distribution Model

  • A successful candidate will be analytic, creative, and self-driven

  • High affinity to data and business intelligence

  • Highly organized and pays attention to details

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills with the ability to analyze and summarize reports for management

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate and interact with key stakeholders

  • Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and challenges

  • Advanced Excel capabilities and related data manipulation required

  • Good PowerPoint skills

  • Tableau software experience preferred
