Process Lead, Talent Movement, Onboarding in Calle Blancos, Costa Rica

Position Description:

As a member of Amazon’s HR Services team, the Talent Movement Onboarding, Team Lead will support subject matter experts in the administration of our HR audit and Onboarding programs. The Lead will provide ongoing support, be a central point for issue resolution, manage the day-to-day administration of various programs, and perform issue resolution through an electronic remedy process. The Lead will also be responsible for managing workflow, day-to-day issues, and will serve as a liaison between the Associates and the global Talent Movement team.

The ideal person will be organized, work effectively with internal and external contacts, have the ability to process large volumes of transactions, understand complex policies and apply them to employee situations, and understand workflow and forecasting to help each Associate be as impactful as possible. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and organizational skills, superior attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Person must also possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills, along with the customer service focus that the world associates with and expects from Amazon.


  • Process transactions for multiple compliance programs that may include worker eligibility and Onboarding processes

  • Act as liaison and advocate for associates with the global Talent Movement department

  • Understand forecasting and how it impacts workflow and work loads

  • Help to load balance and offer prioritization

  • Draft audit reports detailing methodology, results, and recommendations

  • Maintain compliance metrics, send out daily and weekly updates to HR teams

  • Monitor service level agreements, resolve issues with internal and external service providers

  • Assist with new projects as needs arise

  • Verify data and perform data entry. Look for variances and discrepancies in data for correction.

  • Understand impacts of changes in PeopleSoft system and how these will impact internal/external interfaces.

  • Continually strive to improve efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems and look for enhancements related to current systems and procedures based on KAIZEN and LEAN methodologies.

  • Communicate to partners and employees on data findings and information.

  • Demonstrate the highest degree of discretion and confidentiality.

  • 2+ years HR, CS, or compliance-related experience required or 1 year lead experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience

    • MS Office experience and ability to use MS Excel for reporting

    • Customer service orientation with ability to serve multiple customers (candidates, hiring managers, recruiters, HR business partners)

    • Computer operating and database management skills

  • Experience in HR transactional processes

    • Team lead and/or supervisory experience

    • Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, analytical and critical thinking skills

    • Ability to spot issues and escalate to business partners when appropriate

    • Exceptional communication and organizational skills

    • Able to track high volume activity with exceptional follow through and attention to detail

    • Problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary - sense of accountability and sound personal judgment

    • Proven analytical capabilities, comfortable working with large amounts of data and in developing metrics and reporting vehicles
